I hope everyone had a great holiday season! It was a big season of change for me, as I lost my day job. But on the plus side, I've had a lot of time to write and dedicate to personal projects. So, that is something to be grateful for.

2025 didn't go exactly as I had hoped and planned when it came to writing. Once the year was said and done and I reflected on my experiences, I spent way less time than I did writing in 2024 (overall). I started outlining a ton of stories and spent a lot of time world building, but nothing really kept my attention long enough that I wanted to devote time to writing an entire novel out of it.

I ended up experiencing quite a bit of writer's block and tried to mostly focus on writing when I got the desire to. And as I think about my time in 2025 now that the year is over, most of the time I found myself want to work on smaller bits of prose and writing, notably short stories and poems!

I ended up writing quite a healthy collection of wee funny poems about life and fantasy and monsters in 2025. I also wrote a few short stories that I had a lot of fun with, enough so that I feel it's worthy of continuing to write more of them.

So, my goal for 2026 is to release a poetry collection of the small tidbits I've collected over the past year. I also want to release a short story collect of scary, silly, and fun stories related to monsters.

Stay tuned for more in the coming months, and thanks for reading!

I've been having so much fun watch Unrivaled Basketball and following all the WNBA news the past few days. I can't wait to see the new Mercury play!

Cereal, milk. That’s what we love,
We eat it every morning
As we’re sitting on our butts.
Cereal, milk. That’s what we love,
We put on some cartoons
And then we munch and crunch a bunch.

Whether chocolate, or fruity,
Or crunchy cornflakes.
Granola, or pebbles,
Marshmallows on your face.
Pour on a splash of milk,
And happiness is at your place.

So if you’re looking for a fun way
To start off your school day,
Don’t delay!
You know what to do:

Grab yourself a spoon
Put on a cartoon
Pour yourself some cereal,
And blast off to the moon!

Yo, my boooooys.
Hey there, my wife.
I’ve closed up my computer
Work is done tonight.
My tummy’s grumblin’
And the clock says five.
Yeah you know what time it is,
Let’s get some dinner tonight.

Like pizzaaaaaa.
It’s got curves, my homies.
Golden crust, cheese and tomato
Pepperonis, my homies.
And if I order some green peppers
And black olives, my homies
It’ll be a taste explosion.
FLAVORPLOSION, my homies.

And if we’re feelin’ fancy
Havin’ fun and feelin’ fine.
We could also order soda
Bubbles poppin’ all the time.
And don’t forget the breadsticks
Marinara on the side.
A thing of chicken wings
Will wrap our meal up nice and tight.

So tell me what you think,
About the food you want to eat.
I’m bustin’ out my phone
The app is open let me know…

“How about some noodles?”

It’s 6 a.m.
And everyone’s asleep.
Yeah you know what time it is,
Time to do the shower creep.
Step 1: You get outta bed.
Step 2: Put them glasses on your head.
Step 3: Gather up your clean clothes.
Step 4: Walk on your tippy toes.
Step 5: Try not to wake your parents.
Step 6: Or your visiting uncle Claren--
YEOOOOOOOW I STEPPED ON A LEGO!!
Step 7: You sprint back to your room.
Step 8: And act like you’re asleep.
And just like that, hooray!
Yeah, you’ve done the shower creep.

Every single day,
The lizards come out
Of their cinderblock homes
And whip their tails about.
To the tops of the walls,
They run to where it’s bright,
And warm their little scales,
While doing push-ups in the light.
Every time they do it,
I have to stop and stare.
Why do they do the pushups?
I must know, it isn’t fair.
Are they challenging me to a scuffle?
Like, what’s up, bro? Want to fight?
Or are they asking if I want to
Go work out? That might be right.
I guess it’s also possible, a
Dragon’s ransacking their kingdom.
And they need some urgent help
From a human boy named Stephen!
One day I swear that I shall learn,
The secret of the lizards.
Push up, push down, it matters not.
This promise will be delivered!
