Back to school season is here again! My youngest son just started second grade, and I can't believe how early this is all happening. School never felt like it started this early back when I was a wee kid. But that was a long time ago (and I fully acknowledge I could just be misremembering things). 

Either way, we're back in the swing of things, and even though everything feels early, I'm glad to get back into a routine again — even if things don't quite fully feel normal, given the current state of the world.

I spent a few hours recently trying to create a coloring book-style image, and this is the result! It was super fun using a mirroring effect to create (somewhat) symmetrical curves and shapes, and I can't wait to try it with future art!

Sigh ...
Wouldn't it be swell
To lounge about in a looooooong glass
Of lovely yellow lemonade?
Like, if it were allowed,
I'd literally lie in a glass of lemonade,
Lick a lime ice lolly
And chill,
Like, all my life.
